Who's in Taichung Detention Center?

The center have responsibilities for the criminal defenders ordered custody by Taichung District Court and Taichung Branch Court subordinate to Taiwan High Court and male criminal defenders condemned to shorter than 7 years' imprisonment.

In response to the COVID-19 epidemic prevention policy, the center cooperated with the establishment of a centralized isolation and quarantine facility for wanted persons returning to Taiwan from overseas (excluding outlying islands).From January 24, 2021, it had accommodate defendants and prisoners returned to Taiwan from overseas.
